Nemetschek Vectorworks, Inc. announces partnership with MAXON Computers - 01/09/10

Today, Nemetschek Vectorworks announced a new partnership with MAXON Computers of Germany.

Beginning with the next release of Vectorworks software, which will be available on 14/09/10, our Renderworks rendering application will be based on MAXON’s CINEMA 4D render engine.

“The CINEMA 4D render engine is blazingly fast and now Renderworks 2011 offers this speed to our customers, completely integrated into their Vectorworks workflows. With improved speed, rendering quality and 64-bit support, virtually every aspect of the Renderworks experience is improved,” said Sean Flaherty, CEO of Nemetschek Vectorworks. “And with ‘no-translation’ transfer directly into CINEMA 4D, we provide a solution for customers who need animation or additional high-end rendering features. This is a truly integrated visualisation solution courtesy of the Nemeschek group."

Win an iPad with Vectorworks


Participate in the Vectorworks projects and image competition and you could win an iPad worth over £400. We are looking for UK based projects created using Vectorworks to start a gallery on the Vectorworks UK website.

To enter - email your project in pdf format to Jacqui Smith. All entries should include your plans/images, a short 600 word description and your full contact details. Competition closes on 30 November 2010 - Winner will be announced by 17 December 2010T&Cs

iPad Competition Terms and Conditions

1. These terms and conditions are the Competition Rules ("Rules") and apply to competitions organised by Computers Unlimited ("Competition"), unless otherwise expressly stated. By entering a Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Rules.

2. The Competition is organised by Computers Unlimited (CU), 4-5 The Technology Park, London, NW9 6BX.

3. Employees (or members of the families or households of employees) of CU or any company involved in the Competition are not eligible to enter the Competition.

4. CU reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition or the Rules without notice. CU also reserves the right to alter the prize as necessary. CU’s decision is final and no correspondence may be entered into.

5. The Competition closes 30 November 2010 at 12 noon.

6. The Competition prize is an Apple iPad. The prize is non-transferable or exchangeable and no alternative (cash or otherwise) is available.

7. No purchase is necessary.  To enter - email your project in pdf format to Jacqui Smith on email jsmith@unlimited.com.  All entries should include your plans/images, a short 600 word description and your full contact details.

8. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries due to any technical failure. CU cannot accept responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of or unauthorised access to entries, or entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of server functions, technical issues, virus, bugs or other causes outside CU’s control.

9. Entries must not be sent in through agencies or third parties. Any such entries will be deemed void.

10. The winner will be chosen at random from all entries. The winner will be notified by 17 December 2010.

11. The name of the winner can be obtained by emailing Jacqui Smith on email jsmith@unlimited.com.  Title your email iPad Competition.  Or write to Jacqui Smith at Computers Unlimited, 4-5 The Technology Park, London, NW9 6BX.

12. You must be aged 18 or over to take part in this Competition.

13. CU reserves the right to print the winner’s name in future email communications.

14.  To enter the competition you have given your permission for CU to use your case study in any marketing activities.
